About the event

Disconnected Lines, presented at Jarrad Heaslip Gallery, brings together artists working across distinct generations, backgrounds, and disciplines whose practices appear unrelated at first glance, yet are united by a common visual language. From ceramic sculpture and carved cardboard to steel, painting, textile, typography, and porcelain, line emerges as a common thread. Unification of this work transcends medium, whether these motifs are immediately apparent or subdued. By encouraging close observation, Disconnected Lines invites viewers to discover the quiet formal connections that link these varied artistic practices together. The exhibition will be on view from August 7th- October 3rd, and during the Detroit Month of Design as well! . Join us for the opening reception on August 7th from 5-9pm. We invite everyone to join us for an evening of light bites, a glass of wine, and a vibrant dis(connected) array of art!
